honoring Intuition:
4 Days of Climbing, Connection, & Qigong
Smith Rock, Oregon
May 8 - 11, 2020
Join us for an inspiring, restorative, and sacred weekend of climbing and community in the desert landscape of Smith Rock State Park! Amidst the volcanic rock and cathedral spires, you will have the opportunity to honor the sacred within and around you, and build confidence on the rock, both mentally and physically. You will go home feeling rejuvenated and reconnected.
Each day will include earth based practices to honor your intuition as innate wisdom for living with more presence and purpose. Qigong, Forest Bathing, and time for reflection are woven throughout our active days together. We will take time to slow down and practice being in the healing company of the natural world. There will be time to explore your relationship with Mother Earth, what she can teach you, and how the natural world can help restore connection with your authentic and best self. You’ll be reminded of the unique gifts you bring to the world and explore how you want to show up in your daily life.
Delicious and nourishing food is provided and prepared with love.
No experience necessary; just an open heart and willingness to connect with the sacred relationships of our deepest selves, community, and Mother Earth.
Open to 10 participants.
Instruction is available for a wide variety of skill levels. We will be split up based on experience.
Intro instruction designed for those who have never climbed before
Intermediate instruction for climbers wanting to climb in the 5.6-5.9 range (best for those who have never climbed outside)
Advanced for climbers wanting to join our guides to climb routes 5.10-5.11a/b
AMGA SPI certified instructors from She Moves Mountains will support the climbing portions of the trip.
During our time together, you will:
Learn about the art and inherently mindful act of climbing along with information about belaying, rappelling, rope management, and the culture of women in climbing.
Hone the craft of listening deeply to your intuition.
Practice sacred connection, on and off the rock.
Learn to focus mental resources during challenging times, while rock climbing and in daily life, through mindfulness practices and Qigong.
Honor the grief and joy of your life as well as the past and present.
Go Forest Bathing and gather skills to practice connecting more deeply with the natural world on your own.
Practice mindfulness of movement and how to merge your inner and outer landscapes.
Explore how intuitive knowing can serve as a foundation for strength and well being.
May this be a weekend of adventure that interrupts the story of separation that we are conditioned to believe and support. Let us climb and be in community that honors both the dark and light of our times. May we acknowledge and share awareness around the ecological and social crisis of our time, as we find joy, adventure, and connection.
“There’s nothing that can happen that will ever separate me from the living body of earth. Nothing. It’s who we are.
Nothing can ever remove us. We’re already home.”

Why Climbing?
Climbing is a practice that offers deep connection to the present moment and the natural world. Through breath work, mindful movement, meditation, and visualization techniques, we hope to inspire reconnection with all parts of self (physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual) so you can climb more creatively and confidently, while moving about the world in a more engaged and intuitive way.
